Description | The Sanitary Surveillance (Vigilância Sanitária) of Brazil received a complaint about malpractices in several olive oil factories. Tests concluded that the olive oil sold was in fact soybean oil. It was also discovered that some factories imported lampante oil which is unfit for consumption and was probably included in the products. The investigated plants were closed and their products withdrawn from the market. |
